Hand, foot and mouth is a common infectious disease with a strong transmission ability, and it occurs frequently in infants and young children. Hand, foot and mouth disease is mainly spread through food, nose and mouth droplets and contact. Therefore, prevention of hand, foot and mouth disease is very important. So, how to prevent hand, foot and mouth disease? Next, Mawangbaike introduces the prevention and treatment of hand, foot and mouth disease.

1. Pay attention to food hygiene, avoid illness from the mouth, and strengthen physical exercise in normal times.

2. Avoid contact with children. If the child care institution finds a patient, it must take isolation measures; if the child has related symptoms, he should go to the medical institution for treatment in time. Children treated at home should not touch other children. Parents should dry or disinfect the children’s clothes in time, and disinfect the children’s feces in time; children with mild illness do not need to be hospitalized, and they should be treated and rested at home to reduce cross-infection. .

3. Contaminated daily necessities and eating utensils should be disinfected. Children’s feces and excrement should be soaked in 3% bleach clarified liquid. Clothes should be exposed to the sun, and the room should be ventilated.

4. Wash children’s hands with soap or hand sanitizer before meals and after going out and after going out. Do not let children drink raw water, eat raw or cold food, and avoid contact with sick children.

5. Parents should try their best to let children go to crowded public places to reduce the chance of being infected; during the epidemic period, it is not advisable to take children to public places with crowds and poor air circulation. Pay attention to keeping the family environment sanitary, and the room should be ventilated frequently, and clothes and quilts should be dried frequently. .

6. Pay attention to the nutrition and rest of infants and young children, avoid sun exposure, prevent excessive fatigue, and reduce body resistance.

7. Classrooms and dormitories should be well ventilated in popular seasons. Daily cleaning and disinfection of toys, personal hygiene utensils, tableware and other items. When cleaning or disinfecting work, workers should wear gloves and wash their hands immediately after cleaning.

Recently, parents of a kindergarten in Shenzhen found that spots and fading on their children’s clothes were suspected of being corroded. The children also said that the water used in kindergarten washing was smelly. After consultation with parents, it was learned that the kindergarten used a strong disinfectant powder to wash the hands of the children because of the outbreak of herpetic pharyngitis in a class in the beginning of May. In this regard, the director said that the disinfection water bubble is actually from the inside of the basin, and then rinsed with hand sanitizer and water, just to strengthen disinfection.

It is not difficult to see that the kindergarten director’s lack of health care knowledge, the correct use of antibacterial disinfectant hand sanitizer can fully meet the daily disinfection needs of the hand.

How to choose the right disinfectant hand sanitizer

1. Distinguish the “weixiaozheng” and “wei makeup”

“Weixiao Zheng Zi” hand sanitizer is a disinfection product category

Such hand sanitizers can help kill or inhibit common pathogens such as pyogenic cocci, intestinal pathogens, pathogenic fungi, and the like. This type of hand sanitizer requires the product to be inspected, and after a series of strict safety and disinfection effects inspections, the sanitation license and the “weixiaozhengzi” license are approved before production and sales are allowed.

The hand sanitizer of the “Wei makeup quasi-word” batch number belongs to the category of cosmetics.

It does not have bactericidal and antibacterial effects. The hand sanitizer of “Women’s Makeup” is a general skin care cosmetic with ordinary shampoo and facial cleanser. Its function can only achieve the purpose of cleaning and decontamination.

2. Depends on hand soap formula

Generally, the germicidal components of hand sanitizers are different. In theory, the higher the concentration, the better the sterilization effect, but the concentration is too high, which may cause problems such as dry skin and cracking of the hands.

The bactericidal effect of hand sanitizer also depends on the overall formulation of the ingredients. The formula is well formulated, and the low concentration can also achieve better sterilization effect. The formula is not good, and high concentration may not achieve good results. This is because the compounds in the hand sanitizer interfere with each other, so the formula is also important in measuring the bactericidal effect.

While each manufacturer typically will give their individual ‘take’ on a hand hygiene dispenser at the end of the day they can be broken down into three main categories: bulk fill, automatic, and manual. There are clear pros and cons to each, at the end of the day it is up to the customer to select the dispenser type best suited for their budget and establishment.

The first, and most widely debated, dispenser type is the bulk fill dispenser. Many people select bulk fill as their hand hygiene dispensing method for budgetary reasons; product is cheap and with attentive janitors ‘topping off’ dispensers soap is readily at all times. Win/win, right? In actuality the apparent ‘pros’ of bulk fill soap and dispensing are quickly dwarfed by the cons.

The first con, and most major drawback of bulk fill, is the potential risks for contamination and bacterial growth. Bulk fill dispenser manufacturers, along with the CDC, all suggest that in order to keep a bulk soap dispenser as hygienic as possible a user should NOT top off the soap dispenser as needed, instead each fill should be allowed to empty completely followed by a thorough cleaning of the dispenser prior to a refill. In reality, how often is this procedure actually followed? It’s time consuming, daunting and quickly negates any budget savings by purchasing a bulk product with the increase labor needs to make soap hygienic when used. When dispensers are refilled without a complete cleaning, not only can the dispenser stop working effectively due to clogs but bacteria in the air (which bulk fill products are constantly exposed to) can thrive in the moist environment of the dispenser and contaminate the soap itself. If a dispenser becomes contaminated hand washing with product from those dispensers becomes ineffective and can actually contribute to the spread of germs. You might say, hey, why bother? Soap is soap, it’s self-cleaning. Well… Not exactly. Soap essentially lubricates the hands capturing the germs so they are washed down the drain. If the germs are in the soap it instantly becomes less effective, if a sanitizer is being bulk dispensed it can actually deposit germs on the hands completely defeating the purpose. The risk is the germs that develop after surviving hand sanitizer exposure are exactly the ones you do not want.

In an effort to pull away from bulk filled hygiene products manufacturers have switched their focused dispensing systems that utilize sealed-soap (or sanitizer)-dispensing systems therefore reducing, if not eliminating, airborne germ exposure. While the look of the dispensers can vary wildly manufacturer to manufacturer ultimately it boils down to two options: automatic or manual.

The case for automatic dispensers seems to make itself; since there’s no contact needed to trigger a ‘push’ the opportunity for germs to transfer from the touch point to a person’s hands is taken away. In reality, since a person is cleansing their hands after touching a dispenser the automatic function isn’t necessary. Automatic dispensers also require batteries to keep functioning which can add to the cost quickly and if the batteries aren’t changed there is no manual way to get the soap to dispense. And as with any battery and sensor opperated device automatic dispenser can sometimes delay the trigger push or even trigger on their own dispensing product onto sink counters or floors causing damage. It is not uncommon to see floor wax stripped by leaking hand sanitizer dispensers.

At the end of the day the most hygienic, cost effective, and reliable dispenser option is a manual dispenser that utilizes enclosed products.
