A report from the World Health Organization shows that 40% of the world’s population currently does not have access to reasonable public health facilities, making infectious diseases raging and killing 2 million people every year.

The creation of toilet civilization is a basic livelihood issue, and it is also a window to human civilization.

To create a toilet civilization requires the joint efforts of mankind. The toilet problem is a common problem faced by most developing countries, and some developed countries also have shortcomings. The purpose of designing World Toilet Day is to inspire people to raise awareness, take actions, create a toilet civilization, improve human health and hygiene index, life happiness index, promote the construction of basic sanitation facilities, and advocate a clean, comfortable and hygienic environment for everyone. Since fecal-oral transmission was confirmed as a channel for the spread of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, epidemic prevention in public toilets has become a hot topic in society. Since the beginning of this year, companies in the industry have begun to develop new technologies and products for toilet epidemic prevention, improve new standards for toilet cleaning, and upgrade new models of toilet management. People all over the world work together to improve the world’s environmental sanitation problems and continuously improve the level of toilet civilization.

toilet seat

China’s toilet revolution demonstrates the responsibility for people’s livelihood. Small toilets, great people’s livelihood. The toilet problem is related to the improvement of the tourism environment, the improvement of the quality of life of the broad masses of people, the improvement of national quality and the progress of social civilization. During the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” period, the “toilet revolution” is in full swing and deepening in our country, gradually expanding from cities to rural areas. From 2018 to 2020, 64,000 tourist toilets will be built, renovated and expanded nationwide. At present, the penetration rate of sanitary toilets in rural areas across the country has reached more than 65%. Today, public toilets have become landscapes, and the renovation of rural toilets has been fully popularized. The toilet revolution has achieved fruitful results. Dirty, messy, poor, few, and partial toilets have become a thing of the past. “Toilet problem is not a trivial matter.” It is necessary to “strive to make up for this short board that affects the quality of life of the masses.” The Chinese toilet revolution has improved the happiness index of people’s livelihood and improved the level of social civilization. Beautiful toilets are becoming a business card of the development level of the times.

The toilet expo will add technology wings to toilet civilization. The creation of toilet civilization is not only an issue of environmental sanitation, people’s livelihood and happiness, but also an issue of technological progress. The China Toilet Revolution Innovation Expo (abbreviated as: Toilet Expo) was founded in 2016 and held in Shanghai every November to discuss the direction of sustainable development and help The revolutionary development of the toilet has achieved good results over the years, and its influence has continued to expand. The theme of the 2020 Shanghai Toilet Expo is “toilet revolution” leading the new trend of future public health space development, responding to the call of the national “toilet revolution” covering all fields, involving housing construction, tourism, culture, education, sanitation and other systems, showing new technologies, New materials, new processes and new equipment. The toilet expo is an important carrier to promote toilet civilization to a higher level. This year’s Toilet Expo will fully demonstrate new technologies and products for public toilets in the exhibition section and technical forums. At the same time, a special technical forum on public toilets will be opened. Experts, scholars, and business representatives will be invited to share information on toilet epidemic prevention to the public. The importance and good habits of civilized toileting provide new opportunities for the toilet industry to resume work and production after the epidemic, and make a solid contribution to the continued construction of the anti-epidemic defense line.

On Toilet Day, toilet civilization helps human beings become healthier. The rapid development of urbanization, the continuous growth of urban population, the continuous increase of the people’s happiness demand index, and the continuous improvement of the level of toilet civilization are to strengthen the planning, construction and management of public health spaces and are important measures to improve the urban living environment. From the toilet day to the toilet expo, toilet civilization cannot be ignored.

Following hygiene guidelines in schools and educational centers is essential to ensure the safety and well-being of users.

Cleaning in schools is often taken as secondary.
And, although it is not far comparable to the cleaning that is carried out in a hospital, it is also important to guarantee the safety of users who, at short ages, are more susceptible to possible infections.
Next, we will review the most important aspects of hygiene in schools, ranging from hand washing to cleaning and disinfection products used.
Equip the bathroom with hygienic dispensers that optimize consumption
Use ergonomic and professional cleaning material
Special treatments for bad odors and biological waste
Ecological cleaners for all types of surfaces
Waterless hand sanitizer, a fast and convenient solution to prevent infections

Equip the bathroom with hygienic dispensers that optimize consumption
It is important that hand hygiene be accessible to everyone, literally. With this premise in mind, Katrin Inclusive dispensers have been designed, which in addition to having a very intuitive design, include Braille texts.
For drying hands, our bet will always be paper, avoiding air dryers at all costs. Our recommendation in the wide world of cellulose? The towel dryers.
Unlike what happens with the central extraction coils, this format avoids waste and, therefore, contributes considerably to the saving of paper. In this article we explain the reason.

Did you know that using paper towels instead of air dryers reduces bacterial contamination by 77%?
As regards soap, the load dispensing system is a good ally to avoid cross contamination, since the product is tightly closed. And if we also use these loads in automatic dispensers, even better.
Place soap and paper towels dispensers 130 cm from the floor, instead of 150 cm, as usual, to make them more accessible to children.
Finally, the use of toilet paper in an industrial format helps us space the replacement times and makes the product available for longer.
Use ergonomic and professional cleaning material

The characteristics of the cleaning material such as brushes, handles, mops, etc. they directly affect the welfare of workers.
The ergonomic Vikan handles are a good example of this, since they have a wider diameter than usual and facilitate grip, thus reducing efforts by the cleaning staff.
On the other hand, the mops and the wet cleaning system not only improve the hygiene levels of any space, but also are more comfortable to apply for operators. Best of all, they can be used for both horizontal and vertical cleaning.
Use non-woven cloth cloths for drying surfaces, so you will prevent the proliferation of germs.
In this article we show you what are the 10 dirtiest objects or surfaces that we can find in a school.

Special treatments for bad odors and biological waste
In schools and, above all, at high ages, vomiting and bad smells are a fairly common evil.
In the case of the former, their cleaning, as well as unpleasant, is usually quite complex. To do this, we can use Supersorb, which solidifies liquid or semi-liquid waste and facilitates its collection with a brush and a dustpan.
When we talk about bad smells, the solution seems quite obvious: use air fresheners. However, these can become annoying due to their toxicity levels and, sometimes, when mixed with bad odors, they create an even more unpleasant mixture.
Microdor acts as odor eliminator; Don’t mask them like air fresheners do. Thanks to its active composition based on natural enzymes, it disintegrates malodorous particles with very low levels of toxicity.

Ecological cleaners for all types of surfaces

Ecological cleaners are in full swing due to the growing concern for the environment.
In the case of Baula products, in addition to offering this requirement, they stand out because they offer multiple advantages related to the optimization of use and the well-being of workers.
Everything is due to its reduced format in small single-dose tablets. What does it give us?

✓ Advantages at the logistics level, since we save space in the warehouse, the product barely weighs and does not take up almost space when transporting it.
✓ Advantages for workers associated with the passing load and also for possible inhalations, thanks to its low levels of toxicity.
✓ Advantages in consumption, since with a lower dose than that used with conventional chemicals, we can clean more meters.
In this comparative study you can observe the results obtained with an ecological cleaner tablet compared to those obtained with conventional chemicals.
Leather is available in bathrooms, floors, multipurpose, degreasing, sanitizing and for washing clothes.

Hand sanitizer, a fast and convenient solution to prevent infections
Every winter, the flu becomes a great threat to schools. It is spread from one student to another and also to teachers.
To stop this type of infection, hand washing plays an essential role. However, most of the time it is not possible to interrupt a class to wash your hands.
Hand hydroalcoholic gel acts as an alternative to hand hygiene. It is easy to apply and does not require rinsing, so we can disinfect our hands anytime, anywhere.
In addition, it is available in different formats; pocket, wall dispensers, foot dispensers, etc.

Did you know that hand hydroalcoholic gel eliminates up to 99.9% of the germs present in our hands?

Using air dryers, not lowering the risk when pulling the chain, not washing our hands or using toilet paper incorrectly are the 4 most common mistakes we make when we go to the bathroom.

That the hygiene of some public toilets leaves much to be desired is no secret. In this article we explained how cleaning and disinfection should be in these spaces.

Even so, on certain occasions, the fact of having a better or worse experience in the bathroom is in our hands.

And, we have internalized some actions that, without realizing it, put our health at risk.

Nextly, we list the 4 most common mistakes we make when go to the bathroom as below:

Dry hands with air dryers
Use toilet paper to dry your hands
Do not lower the toilet lid when we pull the chain
Do not wash your hands

Dry hands with air dryers
In previous articles we referred to a study by the University of Westminster that claimed that hot air dryers increased bacterial contamination by 254% (for cold air dryers the figure was 54%).

And these devices drive germs and make them pollute the environment.

Dryers in which it is necessary to introduce the hands are considered especially dangerous, since a container effect is formed in which the germs accumulate inside.

As an alternative to air dryers, the use of paper towels is recommended. According to the mentioned study, with this system it is possible to reduce bacterial contamination by up to 77%.

Use toilet paper to dry your hands

Some bacteria such as enterococci, for example, can have a great presence in the baths, as these are the causes of various intestinal disorders.

With this in mind, now let’s think about how many times we have dried our hands with toilet paper because there was no hand dryer or because the dryer did not work.

Or how many times we have blown our nose dispensing the paper of the same dispenser that we use when we go to the bathroom.

This action, which a priori, may seem normal to us, is really dangerous if there is a presence of intestinal bacteria.

That is why we recommend avoiding at all costs the use of toilet paper for purposes other than your own.

Do not lower the toilet lid when we pull the chain

Making use of the cistern and not lowering the toilet lid previously is something more common than we think.

Are we really aware of the consequences of this action? A biology doctor did an experiment with Petri dishes to prove it.

The result: If we keep the lid up while pulling the chain, the amount of bacteria that are fired per square meter is 10,000.

These bacteria, in turn, usually sit on the floor or on the walls and, in case of not performing a correct cleaning and disinfection, pose a risk to our health.

The solution is very simple: keep the lid down while pulling the tank.

Do not wash your hands

As incredible as it may seem to us and as much as we think we all perform the act of washing our hands correctly, this is not the case.

If we rely on the study developed by the Jornal of Environmental Health we can verify that of the total of 4,000 participants (all of them with easy access to everything needed to wash their hands) only 5% of individuals wash their hands correctly.

As data to highlight the study, 10% of participants said they did not wash their hands after using the bathroom and 33% said they “washed” their hands without using soap.

Washing our hands greatly reduces the risk of infections. In this infographic you can consult the necessary steps to wash your hands.

And remember that automatic dispensers and drying of hands with paper provides extra hygiene to the process.

Advantages of using hand disinfectant gel in the bathroom

Installing hand disinfectant gel dispensers in the bathroom encourages hand hygiene and helps reduce the proliferation of germs.

In our guide to cleaning and disinfection in public bathrooms, we highlighted the necessary products to make these spaces more hygienic places and to offer a more pleasant experience to the users.

We all know that public toilets have a high turnover of people and, precisely, this increases the proliferation of germs.
Therefore, in addition to using the appropriate cleaning and disinfection products, we must offer users solutions to improve their hygiene and minimize the risk of germ transmission.

In this article we will highlight the importance of using hand disinfectant gel after washing our hands or when leaving the bathroom and what risks entails not doing so.

Do we properly wash our hands after using the bathroom?

Risks of not washing your hands after using the bathroom

Installing Purell disinfectant gel dispensers in the bathroom helps stop germ transmission

Do we properly wash our hands after using the bathroom?

There are several studies that recognize that many people do not wash their hands after using the bathroom.
Specifically, the observational study conducted in 2007 by the American Society of Microbiology and the Soap Detergent Association (SPA) concluded that one in four people or, what is the same, 25% of people who go to the bathroom, do not wash Your hands later.

In addition, 75% of people who do wash their hands, only 46% of them spend enough time.

We can also refer to the results of the study conducted by the University of Michigan and published by the Journal of Environmental Health in 2013, which states that only 5% of a total of 3749 people observed in a university setting Wash your hands correctly.

This means that, the remaining 95% do not use enough time, do not use soap or rub their hands properly during washing.

Risks of not washing your hands after using the bathroom

The greatest risk of not washing your hands after using the bathroom is the spread of germs. And, according to the WHO, up to 80% of infections are transmitted by hands.

This means that if we do not wash our hands after having gone to the bathroom, we can contaminate other surfaces and cause up to 14 people to become contaminated by touching that object or surface.

For example, the knob or handle of the bathroom door can infect up to 60% of users of an enclosure in just 4 hours, as indicated by the American Society of Microbiology.

The same can happen with the push buttons of the manual dispensers, which are touched by many people when we dose the soap. Therefore, it is recommended to always use automatic soap dispensers.

Installing disinfectant gel dispensers in the bathroom helps stop germ transmission

Hydroalcoholic gels disinfect the hands, eliminating 99.99% of the germs that may be in them.

They are a very convenient solution to use and help complete hand hygiene. Yes! In no case its use replaces the washing of hands with soap and water.

Precisely, to promote hand hygiene, it is recommended to place Doctorclean® hand dispensers next to the bathroom exit door and at an approximate height of between 92 and 117cm from the floor, near the door knob.

As with soap dispensers, we recommend betting on automatic dispensers of hand hydroalcoholic gel, in order to minimize the risks of contamination in contact with the button.

Stainless steel is a common raw material for household products. It has many excellent properties, such as easy cleaning, not easy to rust, simple and elegant appearance, long service life, not easy to damage, corrosion and rust resistance, and very surface. Smooth and easy to clean. Stainless steel is commonly used in kitchen and bathroom making, but it is difficult to avoid dust and dirt, which can cause corrosion and rusting of stainless steel. Therefore, we need to clean the stainless steel products used in other households on a regular basis. Then, we How should the stainless steel be cleaned? Next, we will introduce several suitable methods to help you clean the stainless steel so that the stainless steel can be kept beautiful and durable.

Stainless steel cleaning tips

1. Water and cloth

For daily cleaning, you can use warm water and cloth. The stainless steel pots used in the home, if only scrubbed with detergent and rag, some stubborn but can not be completely cleaned. If you use a steel ball brush, it will leave unsightly scratches. At this time, just take some radish with the remaining radish or cucumber, scrub with a detergent, and then rinse it with water to clean it. In most cases, it is necessary to dry the surface with a towel or cloth after washing to prevent water spots. This is important because the minerals in the water will leave traces on the stainless steel.

2. Gentle cleaning agent and cloth

It can be cleaned with neutral detergent CA-Q02 and warm water so as not to damage the stainless steel. A mild neutral detergent cleans the tough dirt and wipes the dirty area with a neutral detergent. When cleaning and decontamination is complete, be sure to rinse the surface thoroughly to prevent the residue from re-staining or spotting. Naturally derived cleaning agents are biodegradable. They are missed when exposed to water, including some oils. If you clean stainless steel pots or cutlery, this is a good way to use them. The food on the cooked food can usually be removed from the pan soaked in soapy water. Use a mild sponge for washing. Because steel wool is used, it may scratch the stainless steel or leave particles, which may cause rust, so remember Rinse and dry stainless steel products.

3. Glass cleaner

Fingerprints on stainless steel surfaces are probably a headache, and can be cleaned with a glass cleaner. A microfiber cloth can be used to spray the cleaner. It can also be sprayed directly on stainless steel, but it may eventually drip or it may not waste a lot of detergent. Gently wipe the circular motion of the stainless steel area to eliminate fingerprints. Wipe as needed, then rinse thoroughly and dry with a towel.

4. Stainless steel cleaning agent

If the stainless steel products have been rusted, or there are serious oil and other impurities on the surface, it is necessary to polish the stainless steel products. The stainless steel cleaning agent CA-Q03 may be a good choice. This stainless steel cleaner (stainless steel bright cleaner) can help reduce scratches and stain removal. It also works well on stainless steel shiny surfaces. Always rinse the surface thoroughly after washing and dry or dry with a towel.

Stainless steel cleaning can be done in a variety of ways. Different stainless steel products require different cleaning methods to ensure that the texture of the stainless steel product itself is not damaged during the cleaning process, and that it can be cleaned smoothly to ensure continued use in the future. Through the above introduction, I believe that I have already had my own experience on how to clean up different stainless steel products. If you want to make your home’s stainless steel products have a longer service life, you may wish to try the above methods.

Many studies have been conducted on the benefits of hand washing and on the effectiveness of the various elements involved in the operation, but relatively few on the contribution of hand drying to hygiene.

For effective control of infections through hand washing, you should also ensure that not only your hands are completely clean after washing, but also that the hand drying system is most suitable.

Infection prevention and infection control have always been serious issues, but this is particularly true today, with the spread of infections acquired in the hospital.

ETS asked a research team at the University of Westminster, led by microbiologist Keith Redway, to study the hygienic behavior of various hand drying methods, to take into account technology and product development, including the dryer to newly introduced new-generation air jet, which had not been evaluated in previous comparative studies. The main methodology used in this study is the same one that had been used in the previous University of Westminster studies on the subject in 1993/1998.

Are electric hot air dryers the right solution?

This latest study has compared the performance of paper towels compared to two types of electric air hand dryers: both hot air hand dryers and new ultra-fast hand dryers increase the average number of bacteria in the hands after use, while paper towels reduce it.

The ultra-fast dryers, which use high-speed air (up to 600 km / h) also showed a higher risk of spreading micro-drops, potentially contaminated, to other users and on the various surfaces of the bathroom, compared to other drying systems verified in this study . In addition, like traditional hot-air hand dryers, they can be contaminated by bacteria, some of which can cause disease.

Press release:

Press release: New evidence shows that electric hand dryers can put health at risk (Feb. 2009 in Italian) (Feb. 2009 in English)

Hand hygiene is a serious matter: in order to eliminate microorganisms and avoid infections, the same attention given to a large part of hospitals should be applied to hand drying.

To avoid infections and infections, the guidelines given to doctors and patients contemplate washing hands carefully, using soap, and then drying them with a paper towel, which has the property of significantly reducing the germs and viruses that remain in the hands.

This healthy hand hygiene practice, indicated by health specialists, keeps the risk of possible infections under control and prevents their spread.

A gesture as simple as washing your hands with soap and water can be key to the survival of millions of people, especially the little ones. Children are especially vulnerable to the effects of diarrhea and respiratory infections, diseases that can be easily and cheaply prevented with a little soap and water. This day wants to serve as a reminder of the importance of this practice.

World Handwashing Day is a call to raise public awareness that some soap and water can save many lives. This day is celebrated for the first time this October 15 in 70 countries of the five containers. It is the first time in history that a worldwide campaign asks millions of people to wash their hands with soap and water.

“The main message we want to convey is the importance of hand washing, but not just any quick rinse: it is important to wash your hands correctly with soap and water at key times of the day. These key moments are: before cooking or preparing food, before eating and after using the bathroom or cleaning a baby, “says Therese Dooley of the UNICEF Sanitation and Hygiene Program.

Handwashing with soap and water is one of the most effective and cheap ways to prevent diarrheal diseases and acute respiratory infections. These diseases cause the death of 3.5 million children every year and affect the health of millions more, both in developing and industrialized countries. Access to soap is not always easy in many places in the world. In countries like Ethiopia, many people use ashes or sand for personal hygiene, because they can’t get soap.

UNICEF supports several campaigns to promote proper hand washing, within its Water, Sanitation and hygiene programs worldwide. The United Nations General Assembly declared 2008 as the International Year of Sanitation. World Handwashing Day reinforces this movement in favor of an improvement in sanitation and hygiene practices, especially for children, who are agents of change.

The lack of hygiene of the bathrooms has a direct impact on the experience and customer satisfaction.

Without good maintenance, clients suffer; bad smells, dirt, liquids on the floor in the toilet and in the area of sinks, lack of soap or toilet paper … All these discomforts have a negative effect on the image and reputation of the establishment. The most disadvantaged are restaurants, hotels, campsites or bars where the perceived level of cleanliness can undermine the hygiene of the entire establishment.

The lack of hygiene can cause changes in habits, 8% of Spaniards have stopped visiting a bar, restaurant or hotel due to lack of hygiene. According to the Hygiene Matters 2016 study.

To avoid this, below we offer you a series of tips for the correct cleaning in depth of bathrooms and toilets.
How to effectively clean and disinfect the different areas of the bathroom

WC area. To properly clean and disinfect walls, interior and exterior of the toilet, a chlorinated disinfectant cleaner, with bleach or ammonium quaternary. For the toilet, first apply and let the product act and clean the inside of the toilet with the brush. Once clean, rinse with plenty of water. If it has not been sufficiently clean, repeat the operation.

Spike Zone. Use a mirror cleaner and an anti-foul or multipurpose cleaner for the taps and sinks area. Especially it is important to properly dry the taps to have the best finish. If there are rust or mold spots use a chlorinated disinfectant and a small brush to reach every corner.

To keep in mind!

To clean the bathroom, it is necessary to discard the metal or hard rubbish, as they could spoil the surface of the toilet or taps. Always use non-abrasive sponges, plastic filament brushes to clean the interior of the toilet and microfiber balustrades for the outside.

The golden, enamelled or wood faucets must be cleaned with specific products for these types of finishes. Marble also requires special care and, above all, it can never be cleaned with any abrasive or acid product, because it would damage it and stains would appear.

The most recommended product for our clients is Aquagenol: multipurpose hydro-alcoholic bactericidal cleanser and fungicide for taps and sink area. Cleaning and disinfecting: marble, ceramic, tile and profitable surfaces. Aquagenol eliminates pathogenic microorganisms, has a self-sealing effect and eliminates unpleasant odors.

Contact areas. To clean door knobs, chain pushbuttons, light switches, lock buckets … etc. Use a microfiber bathtub along with a germicidal cleanser. Since they are areas of much use and require products that reduce the number of bacteria.

General area. Finally, you must check and refill the toilet paper dispensers and hand soap dispensers with a hands-free neutral pH gel. In this case, we recommend foam soap because of its quality, pleasant texture and the savings it entails. You also have to empty the trash and put new bags.

To clean the ground. The best option is a chlorinated disinfectant or with scented quaternary ammonium, to leave a fresh aroma clean. Like the Aquagen DBA, the DFA or the DBN registered disinfectants for better security.

To maintain a safe hygiene of the bathrooms

Establishing a calendar or control sheet of cleaning will help us keep the facilities clean. This document should specify the tasks to be carried out, who will perform them and every time.

In professional hygiene every product must be accompanied by its technical and safety data sheet with all the details on composition and method of correct application. This documentation must be included in the hygiene plan of the establishment.
For safety, all chemical products must be labeled and with the correct bottle, the use of reusable or non-suitable packaging for professional cleaning must be avoided, as refilled water bottles. A differentiated color code for areas and uses can help us to differentiate the products and avoid errors.

Preparing and ordering the products previously will help us to avoid improper applications that could damage surfaces or errors that could pose a danger to the user.

It is also important to use protective gloves to avoid direct contact with chemicals.

The hygiene of any business is very important, for this reason all the staff must be trained on the hygiene processes for each zone and the products to be used. In this way we ensure a good maintenance of facilities, cost control and increase workplace safety.

Handwashing with soap and water is one of the most effective and economical ways to prevent gastrointestinal and respiratory diseases. On October 15, World Handwashing Day was celebrated, which aims to make this hygienic practice a habit in schools, homes and communities around the world.

World Handwashing Day is promoted internationally by a coalition of public, private and non-profit organizations, the Global Handwashing Day Public Private Partnership, in order to sensitize and disseminate a key hygienic practice in promoting health and in the prevention of diarrheal diseases and pneumonia, which together are responsible for the majority of infant deaths worldwide.

Rooting the practice of handwashing with soap before eating and preparing food and after using the toilet could save more lives than any vaccine or medical intervention, reduce deaths from diarrhea by almost half and avoid a quarter of deaths from infections Acute respiratory worldwide.

In Spain, World Handwashing Day is organized by an open group of entities, non-profit organizations and companies, which follow the example of the international initiative.

The challenge is that handwashing with soap becomes an automatic and frequent behavior in schools, homes, workplaces and other living spaces, since, also in developed countries with adequate sanitary structures, it is a basic habit to prevent diseases.

As in other countries around us, handwashing with soap and water can be considered a practice of such elementary hygiene that is taken for granted. However, it is still a practice that is not always carried out in the so-called critical moments or the impact that it has, for example, to avoid the spread of acute respiratory infections (flu, bronchiolitis, etc.) of a seasonal nature is unknown or minimized. Like other diseases.

Critical moments when handwashing with soap is necessary would include among others: after going to the toilet, before eating, before handling food, after using public transportation or being in contact with a sick person.

Performance in schools

Any person can promote in their family environment, at work or socially hand washing, but it is in schools where they can influence more, helping children to grow up already with the acquired habit. To facilitate this, the campaign’s promoter group offers information on its website about how, when and why it is necessary to wash your hands with soap in various environments, including schools and nurseries.

Before eating all children should go to wash their hands. Accompanying them when they are very young when washing hands is important and a great time for them to learn to wash their hands with soap and water properly. Similarly, handwashing with soap and water is essential after going to the toilet.

To help promote hand washing in the centers, the organization warns about the following circumstances:

– Dirty bathrooms and sinks in poor conditions do not invite their use, so the first thing is that everyone in the center collaborates to the best of their ability to be clean and pleasant.

– The center must monitor these conditions so that they are correct: existence of soap, washbasins that are easy to access to the smallest (at their height), air drying systems or paper that are more recommended in collective places where towels are less hygienic of cloth, etc.

– Maintenance is important, but it is not only a matter of the center and, in that sense, children should be encouraged to collaborate and leave the bathroom in good condition, just as they would like to find it.

– It is proposed to do clean-handed contests between boys and girls when they are young, teaching them to wash their hands as if it were a game and to leave the bathroom clean and in order also as a challenge between different classes and groups.
– Children can be explained why our hands are son the transport ’through which germs, viruses and bacteria that transmit diseases can travel and how hand washing with soap and water prevents it.

– In the winter season when the flu and bronchiolitis are more frequent, we must promote a more common hand washing and teach children to do it and remind them when they put their hands to their mouths when they sneeze, cough, etc.

– It is also important to teach them how in other countries access to running water and soap makes hand washing difficult and to make them aware of the importance of this and sensitive.
